Wausau-The Good Shepherd Shelter

The Good Shepherd Shelter exists to provide shelter to those in need. An example is a woman from Wausau born and raised, struggled immensely to make ends meet financially. Despite working three jobs, rising rent forced her into homelessness. She turned to the Good Shepherd Shelter where she stayed for six weeks. With the help of a Financial Advocate from our St. Lawrence Services program, she created a budget, found housing, and is now sharing an apartment with a cousin—ready to spend the holidays in a home she can call her own. This is a ministry of the Diocese of La Crosse.
