Serve the Community

The Central City Project is Allentown Central Catholic High School’s commitment to the City of Allentown. As demographics have changed, a majority of ACCHS students no longer hail from the immediate community surrounding the school. The Project is an opportunity for students from communities outside the city to interact with the local neighborhood’s people, institutions, and events. Some examples of service are, Sophomores in Theology assist with the 5th Street Park “adopt-a-park” to clean-up parks, organized by the Friends of Allentown Parks. Sophomores and Seniors organized four “Carmel Coffeehouses” that showcase Allentown’s student talent and local musicians. Twice a week, ACCHS English students tutor at the Allentown Boys and Girls Club.
