People’s City Mission believes that regardless of the crisis, there is hope and opportunity for everyone coming through our doors. As Lincoln’s only homeless shelter, the Men’s Temporary Housing provides overnight housing and meals for men, seven days a week. We have a 101-bed bunk room, plus space for cots when weather or other circumstances necessitate. For eligible guests from Nebraska, we offer two program options: Short Term Stay (30 days) and The Path (90 days). Each guest participating in a program track will be assigned a PCM caseworker to help create individual goals and milestones. Community resource referrals and employment assistance are also provided to help each guest move towards independent living. Also, guests and former guests have access to the Agape Café before and after meals. The Agape Café provides shower facilities, laundry facilities, and mail services year-round.
