The Lonsdale community is one of the most culturally diverse neighborhoods in Knoxville, composed of roughly 60% Hispanic, followed by smaller percentages of members of the Black community, a small Caucasian population, and African refugees. This mix of cultures and languages present a unique opportunity to pre-school and primary school educators.
Teachers can easily benefit from practical support such as supplies and an occasional breakfast to help them feel appreciated and honored. The students can benefit from loving adults who can commit to reading with them once a week. Fellowship partners with Lonsdale Elementary to provide this practical and relational care. This is a partnership with Fellowship Church – Knoxville.
