The Dakotas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church began the Bakken Oil Rush ministry, located in Watford City, ND, serve the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the people living in the oil field country. The Gathering Place is an event held twice a month, where a meal is served, devotionals taught, and helping folks look for work and/or needing someone to talk with. This is the tagline, mission and motto of the ministry.
