This free program seeks to bring positive experiences to children in Lake County with an incarcerated parent through services including case management, mentoring and recreational opportunities for children and their caregivers. We strive for the children of incarcerated parents to receive extra layers of support from community resources, recreational opportunities, educational assistance and in-home support. Caretakers also benefit from referrals to financial resources in the county, as well as guidance for their unique circumstances. Specific support is available for grandparents raising grandchildren. The focus of Families of Promise is to provide positive experiences that help children cope with the stressors related to incarceration. This is a ministry of Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.
