Education Connection

The Community Impact Ministry equips and sends the people of Hill Country Bible Church to bless our community and saturate Greater Austin with the love of Jesus. As individuals grow in their walk with God, we develop and empower them to help lead our movement of changed lives that impacts Greater Austin for Christ. Fourteen years ago, the church community asked city leaders what we could do to make a lasting impact in our city. The answer was simple: help fight illiteracy and school dropout rates. Last school year, more than 1283 volunteer literacy partners and mentors served sixteen school districts across Central Texas, sitting down with 3013 elementary students each week for 30 minutes to read one-on-one.
