Camps & Retreat Ministry

The Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church Camps and Retreat Ministry has a vision for growth that includes development of facilities and programs for all ages in an outdoor setting suitable for spiritual growth, fellowship, renewal and recreation. We believe Camps and Retreat centers are extensions of the local church. As such we are called by God to provide programs and facilities for local congregations to plug into so the church’s ministry may be strengthened. Camp locations are, Mt. Shepherd Retreat Center in Asheboro, Camp Guilrock in Reidsville, Camp Tekoa in Hendersonville, and Camp Tekoa Foothills in Casar.
